Departure from Gibles, a few kilometres from La Clayette. Park in the market square (large car park).
(S/E) Take the small road to Mont Brancher, which starts at the north-western end of the square (on the left when looking towards the pharmacy) and follow it to a Y-junction.
(1) Take the small road on the left signposted Le Côté and descend to reach Les Grands Moulins and the tip of its pond.
(2) Keep right, then turn left at the next crossroads. Pass the houses of Les Petits Moulins, where there is an old mill. Continue straight ahead, then turn left, cross the hamlet of Mombon, and reach the edge of a wood.
(3) Follow the road slightly downhill to the right, then leave it on the left, still going downhill. Pass the hamlet of Le Buisson on your right. Cross a small road and continue straight ahead to reach La Tuilière.
(4) Continue along the road opposite until you reach the end. Stay on the path that follows it to find another road further on at the crossroads of the hamlet of Les Communes. Turn right, keep left at the next crossroads to come to another T-junction.
(5) Turn right at a 90° angle and cross the Ruisseau du Bief stream. A few metres further on, take the road on the left. Walk past the Martins houses to reach a crossroads with several directions and a calvary.
(6) Turn left, then immediately right, and continue until you reach the hamlet of Les Bassets.
(7) Turn left towards Chatenay. After the small wood and its oratory, take the path that climbs to the right towards Les Toisons. Follow the path to the D300.
(8) Turn left onto it, then after about a hundred metres, after the triangular crossroads, turn right towards Ferme Lavaux. Pass the farm and at the next crossroads turn right and follow the road, which turns into a pretty path through the woods. Reach the edge of the woods.
(9) Turn left towards Étang du Palais, passing a pretty mill. Then cross the D25, continue straight ahead, pass the houses and you will come to a four-way crossroads.
(10) Take the small path on the left. After the small wood, you will reach the old railway line at Étang des Claies.
(11) Take the old railway line to the left until you reach the D41.
(12) Turn left and continue along this road to return to the car park at the market square in Gibles (S/E).
