Les Grands Arbres

The start is at the Étang de la Chaumotte, just north-west of Villefranche.
To get there: from the centre of Villefranche, take the D18 by car towards Villeneuve-sur-Yonne.
Pass the^first junction (marker 162) and, immediately afterwards, follow the Bois du Lièvre on your right until you reach ^{the second} junction (marker 181). Then turn left and, a little further on, pass La Chaumotte, then continue to the next junction. Go straight on for 150 metres and park.

(S/E) Continue for about 150 metres due east, following the pond on your right-hand side, until you reach the junction. Take the road on the right towards Les Miniers.
Just after passing the^first house on the right belonging to the Coufreau family, the road turns into a track leading to Les Miniers. After Les Miniers, the track turns back into a road. Follow it to the junction (altitude 172m). Take the track on the right to the next crossroads.

(1) Ignore the private track opposite which leads into the Grands Arbres woods; take the track on the left until you reach the road. Ignore the road on the left and take the one on the right for about 80 metres.

(2) Turn right towards Les Crouteaux until you reach the nearby junction. Turn right until you reach the next path on the left.

(3) Turn left onto the track and, 150 metres further on, continue along the right-hand side of it until you reach the cross track.

(4) Turn left towards Les Petits Crouteaux until you reach the road. Turn right onto the road, heading towards Les Coutelles. A little further on, ignore the path on the left towards Le Gros Chêne; continue through Les Coutelles until you reach the next junction.

(5) Leave the road on the left heading towards Les Petites Coutelles and the one opposite; take the path on the right until you reach the path on the right.

(6) Leave the path on the right and carry on straight ahead towards La Millonerie, crossing the Bois Mercier.

(7) Just after passing La Millonerie, the track becomes a road. Follow it to the Étang de la Chaumotte, the starting point of the route (A/D).
