(S/E) At Saint-Martin Church, take the road on the left, then turn right onto Rue du Forgeron.
(1) Take Rue du Charron on the right, then Chemin des Chiez on the left. Follow this path straight ahead to the D605 road, then follow it downhill to the right. Let the D605 turn left and cross the railway line.
(2) Turn immediately left. Pass the station on your left and follow the path on the right. Ignore the path that branches off to the left towards the railway line and continue towards the gorges (viewpoint). Near the "rocher d'escalade" sign, turn left.
(3) In the meadow, do not cross the wide ditch but continue left along the path that runs alongside the Cher (several dams supplying the leats of the old mills). The path leaves the riverbank and climbs rapidly.
(4) At the intersection, turn right to return to the water's edge. Follow the Cher on your right and arrive at the Rocher de la Buse (difficult passage with cable; from the top of the rock, there is a viewpoint over the gorges). Descend on the other side and head downstream along a narrow path (which may be slippery).
(5) Before the backwater, climb the path on the left through the grove. Continue on the path that climbs to Petit-Cougour. In the hamlet, turn left onto Chemin des Bregières, then take the road on the left.
(6) Before the bridge over the railway, turn right onto Rouette du Neja and head towards Le Breuil.
(7) At the crossroads, first turn left then right. At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads, turn left. Ignore the road on the left and continue to the D605.
(8) Cross this road and continue straight ahead on Route du Clos. You will come to a junction with Rue du Forgeron, which you took on the way there. Turn right and return to the church (S/E).
