The hike starts from the car park at the Parc et Château de Villeroy.
(S/E) Take Avenue Darblay on your left, continue along Route d'Écharcon and Rue de la Montagne. At the top, turn left onto Rue des Sablons, then pass in front of the gate of Château d'Écharcon.
(1) Turn left onto Rue Jean Comté, then after 450 metres, follow Chemin des Marais (or Sente Fontaine Saint-Martin) on the left.
(2) Join theGR®11C(red and white markings) on the right. Continue to the Maison du Marais.
(3) Turn left and, after 100 metres, take the path on your right which leads to an observatory. Continue straight ahead until you reach Ruelle aux Sœurs, in Vert-le-Petit.
(4) Turn left and continue along this path, following the marsh on your right until you reach the Buvette des Etangs.
(5) Cross the Ruelle Moutier and continue on the road, which becomes a path and crosses the Etang Fleuri in the middle (you are still on theGR®11C). Listen to the birds singing...
(6) Turn left onto Rue Lavoisier until you reach the RER line. Do not cross the tracks, but take Rue Paul Naudé on your left. At the end of the road, continue on thePR® trail (blue markings) which will take you to a level crossing.
(7) Do not cross the tracks, but take the path on the left that runs alongside the ponds with several observatories. Continue straight ahead until you reach the next level crossing.
(8) Cross the tracks and take Chemin de la Gare, then turn left onto Rue du Court Fetu. Continue left onto Rue du Chemin Vert, then right onto Rue du Reignault until you reach the junction with the D191.
(9) Turn left and follow this road until you reach the entrance to Parc de Villeroy, 200 metres after the swimming pool.
(10) Enter the park and continue along the main path on the right (Allée de Charlemagne).
(11) At the crossroads at 74, take the third road on the left, then turn right 350m further on to return to the starting point (S/E).
