Les Dédales du Temps starting from Villasavary

Park at the hiking centre next to the Villasavary municipal stadium.

(S/E) Head towards the motorhome area, following the red markings. Turn right towards the small lake, go around it and take the grassy path towards the countryside. You will reach the crossroads at the Perroux houses.

(1) Keep left to reach a Y-junction at a vineyard.

(2) Turn right and then immediately left, walk along the vineyard to reach the summit of Pech de Vent Farine, known in Occitan as Vento Farino. Enjoy the beautiful view here.

(3) Descend to the right along the path through the undergrowth until you reach the tarmac road. Follow it to the right for about a hundred metres, then leave it and take the dirt track on the left. Reach the edge of a wood and enter it on the left to reach the junction with a wider track.

(4) Turn right and continue through the Bois Communaux. When you reach the top, follow the path on the right, continuing straight ahead until you reach the Pointe de Cabrens, where the silhouette of Théodore awaits you in front of a superb panorama.

(5) Continue along the path to the south until you reach a clearing, where you take the path on the right and cross a pleasant undergrowth of holm oaks in the heart of the Bois Communaux. Follow the ridge path, which offers a breathtaking view of the Besplas hill, then descend the steep path to the Ruisseau de la Fontaine de Besplas.

(6) Turn left and follow the stream until you leave the woods and reach the tarmac road.

(7) Cross the road, turn right and then take the small path on the left. At the fork, continue straight on to the Besplas visitor centre.

(8) Go around the centre to return to the tarmac road and the crossroads you passed earlier.

(7) Take the path that climbs steeply opposite. Cross the woods until you reach the crossroads of the track you passed on the way there.

(4) Turn right onto this wide track to rejoin the road leading to Marmuret farm.

(9) Turn left onto the gently sloping path to reach the crossroads of the Bois des Canonges paths.

(10) Turn left and walk along the bottom of the Canonges valley to reach the vineyard crossroads you passed on the way there.

(2) Turn right here and retrace your steps to return to the Maison de la Randonnée car park (S/E).
