(S/E) From the car park below the Besplas leisure centre, go down the small access road.
(1) Take the path opposite between the plane trees (another small, discreet car park with a picnic table). In the countryside, continue straight ahead twice and enjoy the beautiful view of the village of Laurac.
(2) Turn right and descend to the bottom of the valley where the Rivaillère stream flows, cross the stream and immediately turn left. The path runs alongside a pasture at the bottom of the valley. Stay on the same side of the stream and climb back up following the edge of the pasture.
(3) At the top, bear left to join the RD 316, which you cross. Then take the first path that descends towards a valley straight ahead, passing a stream.
(4) Going up the other side, continue straight ahead. At the top, bear left. Then, at the end of the ridge, descend to the left and, on the descent, continue straight ahead to the D213.
(5) Cross it and take the path straight ahead. When you reach the Château de Montalivet, which you can see opposite, turn right to go up towards the château.
(6) At the top, follow the small road to the left and after one kilometre, turn left onto the gravel path.
(7) After 300 metres, turn left down a dirt track towards the woods.
(8) At the bottom, cross the stream and take the path to the right that follows the bottom of the valley, then go straight up.
(9) At the top, take the small road to the right for 500 metres, then enter the gravel path straight ahead to enter the woods.
(10) At the end of the gravel path, take the path on the left that winds through the woods and ignore the paths on the left and right. Cross the woods until you come straight back down.
(11) At the bottom, take the path on the left that runs alongside the stream, then at the end, leave the woods on the right. Join a small road and follow it to the right, then go up the path on the left, on the other side, which takes you straight to the old Besplas farm and the car park where you started (S/E).
