Travel to Saint-Jean-de-Buèges and park in the car park in front of the entrance to the cooperative winery at the northern end of the village.
(S/E) Leave the car park on the left heading south-east, avoid the two exits on the left, continue left at the bridge and follow the canal along the Quai du Carrel. At the end of the canal, atthe second bridge, keep left on Rue du Moulin à Huile and continue to Place de la Condamine.
(1) Turn left onto Rue du Quartier de la Terre and takethe GRP® du Tour trailin the Grand Pic Saint-Loup, following the yellow and red markings. Cross the alley, join Chemin de La Paissière, keep right, ignore the next exit (private road), continue on the left and reach the ford.
(2) Important: Check that the river ford is passable for the return journey on the other side.
Turn left and walk slightly uphill, descend to the right and approach the riverbank. Do not cross the ford, go back up, turn right and keep to the right. Leave the signs, walk along the riverbank through the undergrowth, follow the signs again and keep to the right.
(3) Turn right, rejoin the bank, go uphill and turn right. Ignore all exits, follow the yellow and red markings and go around the Grand Guilhem. You will come to a bridge.
(4) Turn right, cross the bridge and head for the other bank. Turn right heading south. Be careful, as the path is sometimes difficult to see due to tall grass. You will reach a crossroads.
(5) Keep right on the path and approach the bank on the right, then turn right heading west. Approach the river, do not cross the ford, return to the path, turn right and follow the river again. You will reach a ford.
(6) Here you have two options:
- Either take the ford on the right, rejoin the outward route at the crossroads on the left bank and in this case:
(2) Take the same route as on the way there to return to the cooperative winery car park (S/E).
- Or continue along the right bank, as shown on the map and in the description below, and join the technical passage.
(7) Cross this passage by climbing over the sloping rock (no risk), continue along the path that moves away from the river and runs alongside the gardens. You will reach the bridge over the Buègues.
(8) Turn right, cross the bridge, then follow the road to the right towards the centre of the village via Rue du Pré du Prieur and keep to the left.
Turn left onto Rue du Griffou, avoid the two exits on the right, walk along the fountain, turn right opposite the cross and the church on your left. Take Rue le Plan de La Croix, walk along the cemetery, turn left then right onto Rue des Maisons Neuves. Turn left onto the D1 and right to reach the cooperative winery car park (S/E).
