Depart from Rond de Condé, 3 km south-west of Senonches, via the D25 and then the D140, which crosses the abandoned railway line on a narrow bridge. Park around this junction.
Yellow markings
(S/E) With your back to Senonches, follow the yellow markings to the right on the gravel path known as "Route du Haut Cornet", on the picnic area side.At the end of the field, there is a single chestnut tree in the forest, planted here by the inhabitants of a forest house that no longer exists. After about 150 metres, take the path on the left that descends towards a stream, the Gouttier Brieux.
(1) At the Gouttier ford, cross both branches. This can be tricky after heavy rain. If this is not possible, see § Practical information. Follow the stream westwards for a long way, then turn left onto a path that joins the Rachée line. Then turn right to reach the D319 at Rond des Dames.
(2) Turn left onto the large lane and follow it down to the stream at the bottom of the Vallée Biquet.
(3) Turn left and follow the bottom of the valley. Don't miss the two remarkable trees located a few metres from the path on the left, on the slope of the embankment: the "oak-bark beech trees". After seeing these strange trees, continue to follow the stream. When you reach plot no. 164, leave the marked trail for a moment.
No markings
(4) At the entrance to plot no. 164, continue along the stream and reach the D140. Go up to the left until you reach the left-hand bend. Cross carefully and you will arrive at a small car park.
(5) Follow the path that descends to the right into plot no. 166. Initially gentle, the path then becomes steeper, turns sharply to the right and leads to the footbridge crossing the Froux bog. Do not cross the embankment that marks the boundary of the national forest.
(6) Cross the pontoon to cross the bog: information boards. At the exit, follow the path to the right: to the left is access to the Auberge du Moulin à Vent and the village of Manou. Passa beautiful oak tree on the left, which is in the process of being classified. Cross the stream on a small footbridge and, a few metres further on, go up to the left onto the road via a steep path. Return to the car park at the side of the D140.
(5) Cross carefully and follow the path opposite. You will find the yellow markings again where the path meets the track coming from the bottom of the Vallée Biquet.
Yellow markings
(7) Turn right, then continue straight ahead on the path and arrive near the Forestiers pond located a few metres to the left (bench). Return to the path and continue to Allée de La Rachée.
(8) Turn right onto the Rachée line. Pass in front of another remarkable tree, "les hêtres croisés" (the crossed beeches). Continue along the path to Rond des Forestiers.
(9) Carefully cross the D140 again. Continue straight ahead on the gravel path for about 500 metres until you reach the entrance to a track between plots 172 and 170.
(10) Turn left onto the path between these two plots. After a left-right turn, you will arrive at Route des Ruelles.
(11) Follow it to the right until you reach Rond des Ruelles.
(12) Take the signposted path on the left leading to the "Chêne Fauteuil" (Armchair Oak). This is a remarkable, very old tree shaped like a throne. Pass on the left to admire the "armchair" without sitting on it – there is a risk of falling branches! Take the path back to Route du Haut Cornet.
(13) Turn left to return to Rond de Condé (S/E).
