Description of the walk

Park in the car park between the church and the town hall.

(S/E) Take the road opposite towards the orientation table and turn right onto Route de chez Courtableau. Follow the orientation table route.

(1) Then turn left onto the main road, still heading towards the orientation table, and do not take the grassy path opposite the mill, but take the next path. Continue to the orientation table and the Moulin d'Arthus: take the time to look around. Go down the path and continue until you reach a road.

(2) Cross it, continue on the path opposite and join the D50.

(3) Cross it carefully and take the path opposite between the vineyards and turn right at the second large path about 800 m away, marked in orange. Head towards the church of Neuillac without entering the village. Join the D250

(4) Follow it to the right, then keep right on the D50, cross the hamlet of Chez Fanton (at about 700 m, you can take the edge of the vineyard on the left). Pass a dead-end road on the left towards Chez Toussaint and arrive at the fork in the road from the outward journey.

(3) Turn back and take the path you took on the way there on the left towards Moulin d'Arthus and the fork you passed on the way there.

(2) Before reaching the mill, turn left onto the road and follow it to the hamlet of Chez Palisse, about 600 m away.

(5) At the hamlet, leave the road and take the path opposite. Follow this path, crossing a road at Croix de Jarnac, which offers a beautiful view of the church of Sainte-Lheurine. Continue along the path until you reach a crossroads at elevation 68.

(6) Turn right, cross the D251 with caution and follow the path opposite for about 400 m. Turn right until you reach the first building of a very large farm.

(7) Turn left and follow the path to the hedge of the first house. Turn right, go down a slope and follow the path between the vines to a T-junction.

(8) Turn right to join a road in the hamlet of Chez Génicot. Follow the road to the right and then the path that continues on, which joins a road.

(9) Cross it, take the path opposite slightly to the right, and join a road. Pass in front of the schools and go straight on to reach the church (S/E).
