Park in the car park provided at the start of the walk, near the D460.
(S/E) Take the path on the right which leads into the woods, following the River Madon on your right.
(1) Turn slightly to the right alongside the river and continue until you reach the heart of the valley. There, you’ll find the carved stones created by the “Pierre Avenir” association. Cross the footbridge over the Madon.
(2) Head up the hill to the right, following the cross-shaped markings for a short circular loop leading to the medieval castle mound.
(2) After the circular route, continue to the right, following the yellow markings along the Madon, now on your left. After 400 m, you’ll reach an old millstone quarry on your right.
(3) Cross the Madon and carry on straight ahead to the chapel and the Grotte Saint-Martin.
(4) At the three-way junction, take the path on the right to follow the Madon. Cross the footbridge, turn left, then left again to cross the Madon once more and reach the Cuveau des Fées.
(5) Carry on to the right along the Madon to its source.
(6) Retrace your steps back to the Cuveau des Fées.
(5) Walk for about fifty metres, then turn off onto the path on the right.
(4) Carry on to the right, passing the chapel and the cave again.
(3) Turn right without crossing the Madon.
(7) At the first junction, turn left to stay as close as possible to the river.
(1) Carry on straight ahead to the car park (S/E).
