At the large roundabout leading to the port of Le Crouesty (Arzon), follow signs for “Parking 100 places”.
From the roundabout, you can see the car park overlooking it. Cross Rue de Leen Vihan and park in this large car park.
(S/E) Walk down Rue de Leen Vihan towards the harbour, and take the first left leading to Place des Huniers; go round the right-hand side of the La Trinitaine biscuit shop and you’ll come out onto the harbour quays.
Follow the quays to the end of the harbour, soon passing a pretty park overlooked by some lovely semi-detached houses.
(1) At the white and green tower of one of the lighthouses at the harbour exit, head up towards the chapel, walk around it and rejoin the coastal path (GR®® 34) heading south.
(2) After about a kilometre along the coastal path, look for a path leading uphill to the left. At the start of this path, a signpost indicates:
- the coastal path from right to left
- the end ofthe GR®® and the end of the local circular loop (Red Cross and white cross and Yellow Cross)
- the direction of the tumulus
Follow this path upwards; it leads to a path running alongside the wire-mesh enclosure surrounding the tumulus.
Take this path on the left; the tumulus is clearly visible from various angles. Continue along this path, following the fence, to the building located at the entrance to the tumulus enclosure.
(3) Opposite this building, a road leads to the car park for visitors arriving by car.
Depending on the time of day and your preference, you can visit the tumulus (admission €6 in June 2021).
Then take the path that descends to the left of the building, soon leaving the path on your right that continues around the enclosure.
Walk down through the trees until you find a path on the right leading to an orientation table (sign).
(4) Take this path, which is in fact theGR®® 34. After about 200 m, you will find the orientation table on a rocky outcrop at the southernmost tip of the peninsula.
Retrace your steps.
(4) Set off again to the right (south). Near another rocky outcrop, you will find a hexagonal concrete structure which is undoubtedly the remains of an old battery.
Continue along the coastal path towards the east and Fogeo Beach, which will soon come into view in the distance.
Walk along the start of this beach.
(5) As you come within sight of the thalassotherapy centre, turn left onto the path that runs alongside the housing estates and leads back towards the harbour.
(6) Pass through a gate marked "Accès pompiers" (Fire brigade access) onto Rue de Leen Vihan, at its junction with Rue des Cap-Horniers, which runs straight towards the harbour.
Turn right onto Rue de Leen Vihan.
Follow this street (very long but very pleasant) to return to the starting car park (S/E).
