Start from the church in Monedeyres in the commune of Queyrières.
With your back to the church, facing the D52, turn left and immediately right into the alley.
(1) Cross the D52, opposite in the first bend, go up to the left, then turn right to continue climbing. Cross a forest path, follow it to the left to pass in front of a small building containing a water catchment. Continue left on a wide dirt track.
(2) After a second water collection building, leave this wide path and climb right onto a trail that goes up into the woods. Continue, following the yellow markings on the tree trunks. Exit the woods to reach a forest road and follow it to the left.
(3) At the three-way junction, turn diagonally right onto the stony path passing to the left of the picnic tables, then immediately right onto a trail.
(4) Cross the forest road and follow the path straight ahead (GR®40). Continue straight ahead at the crossroads.
(5) At the next crossroads, turn right.
(6) At the path going up at a right angle, turn left to begin the ascent of Testavoyre.
(7) Descend via a path on the opposite slope to rejoin the forest road.
(8) Cross the forest road and continue straight ahead on a path to the right of the shelter.
(9) After 700 metres, turn right onto a wide path, then quickly left, then right. At the four-way intersection, take the path on the right. At the next two intersections, turn right, then right again.
(10) At the crossroads, north of La Cunette, turn left.
(11) On the descent, leave the road and take a small path on the right that enters the forest.
At the forest road (east of Le Mounier), continue straight ahead. At the next intersection, turn left. On the short downhill, continue straight ahead (ignore the path on the right). Enter the hamlet of Les Vignes Hautes on a small paved road near a drinking trough. Follow this paved road to the right.
(12) Just behind the last house, turn left onto a path. At the next two intersections, turn right at the first and then right again at the second (large stone at the corner of the two paths).
(13) Join a forest track, turn right, then immediately left onto a path below. At the intersection a little further on, turn right. Then at the next intersection (opposite a huge tree), turn left to pass between the boulders. Immediately after, continue downhill to the left.
(14) Leave the woods and follow the road to the right. Cross the village of Villaret on the paved road, without going downhill. Opposite the entrance gate to a house, climb up to the right on a path and continue left between the last house and a wall. Enter the forest on the upper path that leads to a road (the D152). Follow the road to the left of the cross to enter the village of Monedeyres and reach the church, keeping right at all intersections.
