Park at the intersection of the Route du Chalet du Meygal and the forest road closed to traffic, in front of a sign with a map of the ski slopes (the car will remain in the shade).
(S/E) Take the forest road on your left for about 50 metres, after the barrier (which is in poor condition, with only the posts remaining).
(1) Take the small path on the right of the road that leads into the forest until you reach the district road.
(2) Cross it carefully and take the gravel path opposite. Pass the house on your left.
(3) When you reach a place called La Banque, take the path on the left. At the hamlet of Raffy, ignore the street that goes down to the main road and continue straight ahead for a few dozen metres.
(4) Take the road (Route de Raffy) that descends to the left. Continue along this road, ignoring the GR® marked trail that descends to the left.
(5) When the street turns into a path, continue along the path, ignoring the one that goes up on your right. Stay on this path, which runs between meadows and shade, until you reach the house at La Roche.
(6) 50 metres after this house, take the path that descends to your left. Continue along this uneven path, which resembles a stream depending on the season, until you reach the road.
(7) Turn right, then at the crossroads with the calvary, follow the road on the right leading to the village of Queyrières. Continue to the church. In front of the church, take the street that descends towards the village. After the first bend to the right, continue for about 100 metres until you reach a bend to the left. At this point, follow the path that descends, surrounded by beautiful trees. It will take you to the departmental road.
(8) Cross it carefully. After 50 metres, follow a marked path that branches off to the left and leads to some farms. At the end of the tarmac road, take the stony path that climbs up to the left. Stay on this path until you reach a tarmac road at the entrance to the hamlet of Le Mas.
(9) Take the carriage road on your right and continue until you reach a junction after about 1 km with a path that descends to the left.
(10) Follow it and descend steadily until you cross the Sumène, then climb back up towards the village of Monedeyres.
(11) In the village, ignore the first street on the right, then turn left to climb up to the church. At the church, at a three-way crossroads, take the middle street which leads to a departmental road. Turn left and stay on this road for 50 m before taking the street on the right.
(12) After 50 metres, take the path on the left, in the bend, which climbs towards the forest. Quite quickly, at a fork, follow the fairly steep climb on your right. Continue along this path, which after 500 metres leads to a track on the left. After two water catchments, a marked path climbs to the right.
(13) Climb this fairly steep path. Ignore any unmarked paths you come across before this one. The path climbs through the forest and runs alongside an impressive scree slope. After about 1 km, the path leads to a tarmac forest road. Follow it to the left and you will return to the intersection you passed at the start.
(1) Continue straight ahead to reach the car park (S/E).
