This trail takes you on a tour of Lake Haute-Sûre. Set in the heart of the Haute-Sûre Nature Park, this lakeside walk offers magnificent views in all seasons. Along the 41 km route, you’ll discover the Lultzhausen sculpture trail, the Burfelt viewpoint, the ruins of Esch-sur-Sûre Castle, the Baschleiden-Tempelskamp observation tower and the Kaundorf 1940–45 bunker.

    Au départ du Pont Misère, partez sur le versant du lac le moins exposé au soleil ce qui se verra par la végétation rencontrée. Passez par le belvédère de Burfelt, la plage d'Inserborn, le chemin des sculptures de Lultzhausen et terminez par les ruines du château d'Esch-sur-Sûre.

    Esch-sur-Sûre - Pont Misère

    Au départ d'Esch-sur-Sûre partez sur le versant du lac le plus exposé au soleil. Passez notamment par le bunker de Kaundor et la tour d'observation Baschleiden-Tempelskamp, mais aussi par le point de vue du sentier des amputés, pour un retour au Pont Misère par des dénivelés plus ardus qu'à l'aller.

Public toilets at Insenborn Beach 2 (after the Burfelt viewpoint) are free and open from 8 am to 8 pm from 1 April to 15 October.

Good walking shoes are recommended; walking poles can be useful.

From October to December, please be aware of hunting dates

No drinking water along the route; please bring plenty of water with you.

You can start from the Lultzhausen Youth Hostel; a footbridge allows you to cross the lake at this point, but the circular loops will be very uneven in length – one 25 km and the other 15 km.
