Start from the Pont Misère car park.
(S/E) Head towards the end of the car park in the direction of the lake, then take the dirt track going up to the right. Ignore the paths on the right and continue to a fork near a property.
(1) Turn left and walk along the property. Continue to the bridge.
(2) Cross it, then turn left and cross the car park.
(3) Take the path on the right and join a narrow tarmac road. Follow it to the left, pass a beautiful property and continue to a T-junction.
(4) Turn left to descend towards the lake and join the road.
(5) Take the road on the left for 400 metres to reach Pont Misère.
(6) Follow the path on the right bank of the lake without crossing the bridge. The path runs along the bank then moves away from it to join a wider path. Follow this path to the left, go straight ahead at the junction and climb to the top of the Hochfels.
(7) Continue on the left to descend towards Moulin de Bigonville. Then follow the road (CR310) to the left and cross the bridge.
(8) Cross the road and turn right onto the small tarmac road marked "Sans issue" (dead end). Leave it after about 100 metres and take a path on the left that leads back to the CR310. Cross it and take the path opposite.
(9) Continue left and follow the path, staying as close to the lake as possible.
(10) At the 90° right-hand bend, go straight ahead and follow the path that stays alongside the lake. You will reach Pont Misère and the car park where you started (S/E).
