Start in front of Saint-Chamas station: parking may be available.
(S/E) Leave the station, take a small flight of steps and then turn left. Walk down the street and turn left, passing under the bridge. Continue to the junction with the Route de Marseille (D10) and turn left. Cross at the pedestrian crossing to take a flight of steps leading down to Rue Maurice Laballette. Follow this street to the end and first turn right then left onto Boulevard Joliot Curie.
(1) At the roundabout, turn right onto Rue Eugène Salesses, then left, staying on this street. At the end of the square (car park), turn right onto Rue Rouget de Lisle, follow it until you reach the side of Saint-Léger Church and turn left.
(2) Continue along Rue Raspail, turn right at the end, then make a sharp left-hand turn and follow Chemin des Baumes. Continue straight ahead, follow the path and reach the Porte du Fort. Immediately after, take the path on the right and follow it until you reach a tarmac road. Go right for about twenty metres.
(3) Take the path on the left between the olive trees which climbs up to the Chapel of Notre-Dame de la Miséricorde.
(4) Retrace your steps.
(3) Head down the tarmac road to the right along the hillside until you reach the T-junction with Avenue René Seyssaud. Turn left onto this road until you reach another T-junction with Avenue Henri Barbusse. Follow this road to the right until you reach the roundabout, go round it on the left, and head towards Pont Flavien.
(5) At the exit, take a path leading off to the left, just before a small flight of five steps. Continue along this path beside the river, cross it to reach the opposite bank, and head towards the Saint-Léger viaduct.
(6) Go under it, then take the path on the right, about fifty metres further on, still following the Touloubre. You will reach the Pont de la Roquette.
(7) Turn left and follow the path uphill, cross Avenue Adam de Craponne by first turning right then left to take the Passage Saint-Léger. At Clos de la Source, take the path on the left which climbs up the hill to reach Chemin de la Rabassière.
(8) Turn left onto this road and follow it straight on until you reach the station (S/E).
