Parking in front of the town hall, located just before the bridge over the Drôme.
(S/E) Cross the bridge towards the town centre. Immediately after, turn right onto Rue des Moulins. Follow this small lane to the main road in Aouste-sur-Sye, Grande Rue, and turn right.
(1) Cross the bridge over the Sye and continue along Rue du Pasteur Boegner.
Shortly before the roundabout, turn left onto a small lane leading to the RD 93. Cross it and follow the Route de Fontagnal, heading north-east, alongside the stadiums, for about 500 m.
(2) At the poorly signposted junction (landmark: house surrounded by pretty white walls), turn left onto Rue des Rouvières. Follow this road, ignore the first turning on the right leading to houses, and continue between the vineyards.
(3) At the next junction with Chemin des Cornerets, turn right onto the small road leading up to the Aubes farm. Continue along the road, ignoring the various small turnings on the right and left leading to private properties.
(4) You will reach a clearly visible and well-marked crossroads (sign: Ferme des Aubes, 3 km). Turn right, heading north-northeast, onto the path leading up to Serre de la Garenne.
(5) You will reach a small pass or "step", a junction with the GR®. Turn right and follow the small path, marked with a cross, which climbs to the top of the Serre de Garenne, where there is a remarkable view of the Vercors.
(6) Return to the small pass.
(5) Follow the path on the left along the ridge to Serre des Aigles, which offers some lovely views. Ignore the various small paths starting to the right or left of this main path.
(7) Continue straight ahead, following the path down to a large field, which you should go around on the right (sign). Continue on this main path, which climbs through the woods and then descends, going around the Serre de Ferrande, ignoring the various paths branching off to the left.
(8) At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead on the Grande Traversée du Vercors. Shortly afterwards, you will reach another field. Go around it on the right before joining a wide track. Follow it for about 200 m.
(9) At the next fork, leave the track descending to the right and continue on the path opposite, heading north-west. Stay on this marked path, ignoring the various paths that join it on the right or left.
(10) You will reach a three-way junction with a wide path climbing to the right. Go there and back: climb this path for a few metres until you reach the statue of the Virgin Mary, then return to the fork.
Go down the path on the left, without leaving it, until you reach the RD 731. It widens further down, crosses the Sye and joins the road.
(11) Follow the RD 731 to the left for about 300 m.
(12) Turn right onto a communal path and follow it for about 1.5 km, running alongside fields until you reach the Trémelas crossroads (mast)
(13) Leave the road and continue slightly to the south on a grassy track towards Aouste.
(14) You will reach the Chiprons mast. Continue along the track opposite. Further down, go around the Souvion farm via the track (sign) and join the road. Follow it for a few metres until you reach a hairpin bend.
(15) At the start of the bend, continue along the road and take a grassy track between two fields, then turn 90° left a little further on before reaching the road. Turn left and follow the Route des Arras, passing through housing estates. Continue straight ahead and pass a wayside cross.
At the next intersection, continue straight ahead, heading south towards the town centre, until you reach a roundabout.
Cross the RD 93 and, opposite, take the D 731, cross the Grande Rue, continue straight ahead to reach the bridge over the Drôme. Cross it to return to the car park (S/E).
