Description of the walk

In Antignac, park near the cemetery: please note! There are two distinct sections of the cemetery; the starting point is the newer section, located further north. Access via the street that runs north from the church, then turns east towards Sauronnet.

No signposts

(S/E) Follow the road eastwards. At the intersection with the hairpin bend on the left leading to Fourgoux, continue straight ahead, ignoring a path on the right, which will be the return route. The road bends to the left and passes under the railway line. Continue to an intersection, at a bridge over the Soulou on the left and scree on the right.

(1) Continue straight ahead, without crossing the stream, on a carriage road, then on a path.

Blue markings

(2) At the fork, ignore the path that branches off to the left and keep right to pass, shortly afterwards, along the railway line on your left. The path climbs and reaches the summit.

(3) Panorama and orientation table. Continue on the path which descends very steeply, passing under the rocks.

No markings

At the bottom, at the T-junction, turn right to quickly rejoin the road, then follow it to the left to return to the car park (S/E).

A pleasant hike with beautiful views. The last section is quite steep, so walking sticks are recommended.
