Park in the car park at the Plateau du Grilloux picnic area on the D 263 between Servance and Beulotte-Saint-Laurent.
(S/E) From the car park, take the small road on the right. Continue to the first crossroads.
(1) Turn right towards 'Le Monthury'; at the next crossroads, turn left, still towards 'Le Monthury'. Then turn right towards 'chambres d'hôtes' and continue along the slightly downhill road to reach Les Granges du Monthury.
(2) Take the path opposite that passes in front of the houses. Enter the forest. Pass a picnic shelter and arrive at the hamlet of La Grande Rocholle.
(3) Just after the Grande Rocholle farm, join a forest road and turn right.
A path on the left allows you to make a short detour to see the Auberge des 1000 Étangs at La Goutte Géhan. Reach the crossroads of the track and a path in a right-hand bend.
(4) Continue along the forest track on the right until you leave the forest.
(5) Take the hairpin bend to the left and follow this downhill path. You will reach a small car park near Beulotte-Saint-Laurent.
(6) Here, you can continue to the village centre (church, inn). Return to the car park and take the path on the right to the Champ du Creux farm.
(7) Keep to the left of the farm and go straight ahead on the path (not very obvious at first) that climbs behind the farm, at the edge of the forest. At the T-junction, turn right. Go down to the Étang de Viaux, cross the pond's dyke and continue straight ahead. Pass in front of the houses of Rochiroz. Stay on the path, ignoring other paths, to reach the crossroads at a peat bog.
(8) Turn right, pass the peat bog and arrive at the Goutte du Frêne farm.
(9) Take the road on the left, pass Champ Jaillet and return to the first crossroads.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route back to the car park (S/E).
