Description of the walk

Park in the large car park at Col de Romeyère.

(S/E) Take the road on the right to the Chemin de Ravat crossroads. Turn right and follow the signs for "Pas de Pertuson". Continue slightly uphill to reach the crossroads with several directions, one of which leads to the houses of Ravat.

(1) Take the wide track opposite, which joins theGR®9andGRP® des Quatre Montagnes crossroads a few metres further on. Then follow the red and white markings on a slight incline. Gradually, the track narrows to become a good path.

(2) Continue along this path and, after a final steeper climb and a few hairpin bends, you will reach the Pas de Pertuson.

(3) Return by the same route to the Col de Romeyère car park (S/E).

Right at the start of the path (which is a forest track at this point), there is a sign warning of danger due to rockfalls (which recently necessitated the rescue of hikers in difficulty by helicopter). We continued along this forest road, which then becomes a narrower path, until we reached the foot of the cliffs, where there was a risk of rockfalls, and we turned back without hesitation. It is therefore important to note that, at least for the time being, the destination of the walk, the "Pas de Pertuson", is inaccessible. This is a little frustrating, as the view must be magnificent. However, it is better not to put anyone in danger, neither hikers nor potential rescuers.

A short, easy hike that is ideal for families, especially on very hot days.
Almost entirely in the woods, which is very pleasant.
The last 100 metres are a little steeper.

Short hike but with a steep incline.
Difficult for people who are not physically fit.
The view of the Isère valley and the Chambarran are the only attractions of this walk.

Hike advertised as EASY, but I would say DIFFICULT because of the steep climbs, with lots of stones and rocks to climb over to reach the pass. I would recommend that hikers have strong legs and good stamina because I set off with seven people and only three reached the Pertuson pass, four of whom turned back because it was too difficult for them.
Otherwise, the view from the summit is fantastic.

A pleasant and interesting short route during very sunny periods, as most of it takes place in the forest. The last kilometre is quite physically demanding as it is very steep, and good footwear is recommended.
A pleasant outing.
