Place André Audouin car park next to the Damvix village hall.
(S/E) From the car park, with your back to the Sèvre Niortaise, head up towards the road. Turn left in front of the pharmacy, cross the bridge and turn right onto Route du Bois de la Rochelle.
(1) When the road bends to the right, turn left (sign: no vehicles over 5 tonnes). At the next junction, continue straight ahead (passing the entrance to a private property on the right). The path becomes stony; leave the Chemin de la Sablière on your right and continue straight ahead to reach the junction marking the end of the circular route.
(2) Continue straight ahead (the path on the right will be the one for the return journey).
(3) About 500m further on, at the T-junction, turn right in front of a garden. The path becomes earthy then grassy as it enters the marsh. Shortly afterwards, at a junction, ignore a faint path on the right (not marked on the map) and continue straight on to the Conche de la Baronnerie. Turn right, then left onto the footbridge to cross the canal.
(4) Continue straight on along the wide path. At the next junction, turn right to join a lovely path.
(5) Turn right and stay on this path, which curves in an S-shape. Pass two access points on the left and stay on the same path. Cross the Conche de la Baronnerie, then return to the junction you passed on the way out.
(2) Turn left and follow the path back to the car park (S/E).
