Start from the car park at the church of Saint-Loup-de-Gonois.
(S/E) Join the D32 and follow it to the left for just a few hundred metres.
(1) At the first set of paths, follow the old route of the departmental road, which curves widely.
(2) As soon as you reach the D32, turn right towards the countryside on the “hills” of the Cléry valley.
(3) After the hamlet of La Haie, turn left and follow the small road. At the next junction, continue straight on along a track. Join the D32 and follow it to the right for 200 m.
(4) Turn left towards La Grand Cour, then quickly turn right to follow theGR®132through the centre of the village. Walk past the church and down the road that curves round it to the right. At the stop sign, cross the D32 again towards Chuelles. After crossing over the Cléry, ignore the first road on the right and take the next one after the sharp bend, towards Chuelles. Watch out for cyclists!
(5) On the D816, take the first right onto Chemin du Pied de l'Alouette, which crosses the residential area. Continue along a grassy path and, at the ponds, turn left. Follow the ponds along Rue de la Cléry for about 1.5 km. Pass close to the Moulin de la Forge.
(6) Cross the D332 straight ahead and continue westwards along the Cléry. Pass another mill, the Moulin des Aulnes, then head away from the river. You will reach a three-way junction.
(7) Turn left, follow the edge of the woods and reach the water treatment plant and the ford.
(8) Cross it (no need to get your feet wet!) then continue to the Chanteraine estate (yet another old mill).
(9) Turn right and continue straight on to La Recette (yet another former mill?). Turn left.
(1) Follow the D32 to the left until you reach the church at Saint-Loup-de-Gonois (S/E).
