Parking Place des Musiciens, where you will find a sequoia tree, among other things. It can be reached from Lutzelhouse via the Route Forestière du Kegelplatz.
(S/E) Start on the forest path marked with a red-white-red rectangle. After about 700 metres, leave the forest path, which continues straight ahead, and take the path on the left just after a red-white-red rectangle mark on a tree.
(1) At the Sentier Blanc crossroads, continue along the Route Forestière de la Baraque aux Juifs for 15 minutes until you reach an elevation of 577 metres, following the red-white-red rectangles.
(2) At elevation 577, take the path to the right marked with a yellow ring and a green ring and follow it for about 20 minutes until you reach elevation 650.
(3) Leave the green ring and turn left towards Langenberg on the path marked with a yellow ring.
(4) You will reach Langenberg or Grande Côte in half an hour and be blown away by the Jardin des Fées (Fairy Garden) with its menhirs, upside-down monoliths, carved stones and beautiful views.
In this profusion of monoliths, you will have to search a little to find the rest of the route and follow the Yellow Rings until you reach the intersection with theGR® 53 (Red Rectangle).
(5) Continue on theGR® 53, red rectangle, for 150 metres.
(6) TheGR® branches off to the left and then turns right 20m further on. Leave the Yellow Ring on your left, which will be the way back, and follow the Red Rectangle.
(7) Arrive at the Porte de Pierre, a remarkable rock shaped by the elements.
This spot can be chosen for lunch, depending on your arrival time. Continue left towards the Rocher de Mutzig, following the red rectangle.
(8) The Rocher de Mutzig, the highest point of the hike and incidentally of the Bas-Rhin, rewards your efforts with a magnificent view of the Bruche valley and the surrounding peaks.
In fine weather, it is an ideal spot for a picnic among the huge blocks of puddingstone. Continue towards the Col de Narion (GR®53red rectangle), where you can take shelter in the Baraque aux Juifs in wet weather.
(9) From there, head towards Lutzelhouse on the Route Forestière de la Baraque aux Juifs, marked with a red-white-red rectangle, and after 250 metres take the path marked with a yellow ring on the left, follow it until it intersects with theGR® 53, which takes about half an hour.
(6) You will rejointhe GR® 53, which you should follow southwards, paying attention as it branches off to the left after 250 metres.
(5) Fork towards Urmatt, marked with a red rectangle and red ring.
Follow the red ring to the Partage crossroads.
(10) At the Partage crossroads, you will join the In Situ sculpture trail. Continue following the red ring for 250m, then turn right and follow the green ring to Kegelplatz.
(11) From Kegelplatz, continue following the green ring, passing the sculpture "Les Têtes" and the oak tree of the Virgin Mary. After 700m, you will reach a crossroads with a hairpin bend to the left and a green ring signpost indicating "Mairie de Lutzelhouse".
(12) Do not follow this direction, but turn right and continue for 50 metres until you see a small white sign indicating "Place des Musiciens" (S/E).
