In Gresse-en-Vercors, head towards the resort, just before the church. At the next roundabout, turn left, still heading towards the resort. Park in the large car park on Rue du Grand Veymont, just after the artisan bakery.
(S/E) Walk about 50 metres towards the resort and immediately turn left onto Chemin de la Rivière towards the "Les 4 saisons" campsite. Leave the campsite on your right and take the path that becomes greener. After crossing a small wooden bridge, you will come to a fork in the road 150 metres further on.
(1) Turn right and walk for about 400 metres.
(2) At the intersection, turn left towards Les Fayolles. You will find yourself on the "flower trail", which offers a wealth of plants and flowers, the names of which are indicated on small posts.
(3) When you arrive at Les Fayolles (entrance to the Odyssée Verte), be careful not to go onto the carriage road. Take the "flower trail" on the left, where you will continue to discover many species of magnificent flowers. This trail ends when you arrive at the car park at the entrance to the Odyssée Verte.
(4) Continue along the road until you reach the road that climbs up to the Col de l'Allimas (D 8a).
(5) Cross it and then descend to the right towards the Ruisseau de l'Aulanier, which you must cross to climb back up, turning to the left. The climb becomes gentler as you approach the few houses of Uclaire.
(6) After walking about 200 m and passing the sharp right-hand bend, take the path on the right towards Col de l'Allimas. The path is very pleasant, almost flat, and offers views of large fields of flowers on the left. You will eventually come out onto the D8a, which you should follow carefully to Col de l'Allimas.
(7) At the pass, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mont Aiguille to the south, which rises to 2,086 metres. Then retrace your steps along the departmental road and take a grassy path on the left towards Combe Rouge. Follow the path until you descend to the Odyssée Verte car park.
(4) This time, take the path between the carriageway and the car park for a little over 300 m.
(8) Then turn left. The path descends gently at first, then a little more steeply through the forest, and leads back to the crossroads you passed on the way out.
(1) Then turn right to return along the same path you took on the way there to the town car park on Rue du Grand Veymont in Gresse-en-Vercors (S/E).
