By car, drive down the Cirque de Navacelles to the village of Navacelles and leave your car in the car park behind the village, near the Auberge de la Cascade.
(S/E) With your back to the inn, follow the Chemin des Faïsses, parallel to the La Vis river, until you reach the stone bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the path that winds northwards for a good kilometre. You will come out onto the D713.
(1) Follow this road to the left and descend for about 1.3 km until you reach two paths branching off to the right of the road in a slight bend.
(2) Take the path on the left (barrier), which heads north-west. N.B. The path on the right leads to the Blandas plateau.
Climb the path and, at the end of the woods, you will come out onto the D113.
(3) Cross it and take the path opposite, along the enclosure.
From there, there are several crossroads in quick succession. Keep left until you reach the top of the descent to Vissec.
Keep an eye out for a path starting on the left and take it.
(4) Turn left onto the steep descent. The path is marked by two small cairns, just before you reach a very large cairn at the top of the main road, Route de Blandas.
View of the Cirque de Vissec and arrival at the village of the same name.
(5) Then cross the village, join the D113 and follow it eastwards. After about 1 km, cross a path on the left of the road. This is the Sentier Botanique des Moulins de la Foux.
(6) Follow the well-marked trail downhill, running alongside the old river bed. Discover plants and shrubs native to the region along the way. You will come to a trail on the left that leads to the Moulins de la Foux. A sign indicates that the resurgence of the Vis is about 200 m away. After visiting, return to the sign.
(7) Take the path on the left and continue along the stream. The path, which is almost flat, leads to the D130.
(8) Follow the road, keeping to the right. Continue to the church and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
