Le Circuit du Rochenoz à Faucogney

(S/E) Starting from the Tourist Office, turn right towards Mélisey until you reach the intersection with Route de La Mer.

(1) Turn left before the fountain-wash house. Then leave the tarmac road and take the grassy path on the left and begin your gentle climb through the woods (some sections are quite steep). After climbing a few ramps, the path levels out and arrives at a crossroads.

(2) At the crossroads, turn left to reach Rochenoz and its viewpoint.

(3) Turn around.

(2) Continue left to Étang Girard.

(4) Continue straight ahead until you reach the next fork.

(5) Take the path uphill to the left. After passing a small pond on your right, the descent begins through the woods on the cooler north side. Back in the valley, you will find yourself on the D236.

(6) Turn left onto it until you reach the junction with the D72.

(7) Turn left onto Rue Jeannot Lamboley and follow it until you reach the intersection with Petite Rue on your left. Follow it to the left, pass in front of Saint-Georges Church, then turn right onto Rue de l'Église until you reach the D72 again. Follow it to the left and you will arrive at the Tourist Office. The Tourist Office at the start of the hike offers tourist information, particularly on hiking.
A historical route (booklet on sale at the Tourist Office) allows you to discover the rich history of the village: remains of medieval fortifications, the MXV Tower, Saint-Georges Church, terraced gardens, and^17th- and^18th-century houses.

The Breuchin, which flows through the village, its leat, and the Beuletin, which flows into it, are rivers popular with fishermen.

On Saturdays during the summer, the Place du Champ de Foire hosts the Marchés de Pays (4pm-8pm), with local producers, artisans and country-style meals.
