(S/E) From the tourist office, head towards the Croix des Morts and the Medieval Tower on the right. Then follow the road opposite twice for 1.5 km to reach the housing estate at the edge of the village.
(1) Enter the housing estate by taking the path on the left, then the one on the right. Once inside, turn left and take the forest path that climbs up to the left into Montagne Saint-Martin.
(2) When you reach a tarmac road, turn right and continue left for 1.2 km to reach Saint-Martin Church and its magnificent view over the Breuchin valley.
(3) Turn left onto a small forest path. Quickly turn left onto a small path. Notice an unusual cross bearing the inscription "1909 AV". The reason for this monument's erection in such a remote location remains a mystery. Continue down the path to reach the tarmac road towards "la Mer".
(4) Once you reach the tarmac road, turn left, then after 200 metres take the path on the left. Leave the woods, pass the small, well-kept farm and continue along the tarmac road until you reach a fork.
(5) Take the road on the right, continue straight ahead, then at a second intersection (D266) turn right and then left to descend towards the hamlet of Les Oroz.
(6) At Les Oroz, take the small tarmac road for 1 km between Saône farms, streams, undergrowth and ponds. Pass the houses and a few ponds. At an intersection, take the road on the right, then after 300 metres turn left onto the path bordered by a green village. The wooded path winds its way through the ponds for 1.6 km. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this natural setting, symbolic of the region of 1,000 ponds.
(7) When you reach the crossroads near the last pond, follow the forest path on the left which descends into the undergrowth for 1.5 km.
(8) At the crossroads, head towards Rochenoz on the right. At km 11, the path climbs back up to the heights of Faucogney.
(9) At the intersection, leave the path with the barrier in front of you and turn left onto the path that runs alongside Étang Girard. You will come to a fork in the path.
(10) Turn right and head back to the Rochenoz viewpoint, which overlooks the village of Faucogney.
(11) After enjoying the view, turn back to the crossroads.
(10) Then take the path on your right that descends to Faucogney. Please note that this path is quite steep and slippery in wet weather. Once you reach the street, simply take the path on the right to return to the tourist office (S/E).
