Start from the car park of the Génainville village hall, at the top of Rue de Préfontaine.
(S/E) Take the path that runs alongside the sports field. After 250 m, pass the entrance to the equestrian centre on your left and continue straight ahead, descending into the forest. The path then climbs again. Continue straight ahead, through the meadows, until you reach the edge of a wood.
(1) Take the path on the left and continue straight ahead into the woods. At the exit, the path turns right onto a road.
(2) Turn right onto the road and then immediately left onto a path. The path crosses the Villarceaux golf course and leads to the D142. Cross carefully and take the small road opposite, towards Haute Souris.
(3) In the hamlet, turn right at the first street. Pass a small road coming from the right and continue straight ahead to the fortified farm of Méré.
(4) Continue along the road, passing the ruins of the Chapelle Saint-Laurent chapel, and after 250 metres, take the path on the right. Follow this path to the entrance to Chaussy.
(5) At the first farm buildings, turn left onto Rue du Clos de l'Isle and follow this street to the end. Turn left onto Rue de la Gendarmerie, go up it for 200 metres and turn right onto a grassy path that is not very well marked. The path widens at the houses.
(6) At the end, turn right, then right again onto Rue du Val and follow it to the end.
(7) Turn right and, in front of the fountain, immediately left into Rue des Molettes. When the street turns left, go straight ahead up a small path. At the top, the path joins a track, which you follow to the right, arriving at a crossroads.
(8) Turn right and then immediately left, pass in front of an antenna and arrive at the D171. Cross carefully and continue straight ahead on a grassy path that leads to the Château de Villarceaux.
(9) Pass in front of the castle gate and continue along the park wall. Cross a road and continue straight ahead. Pass a path coming from the right and arrive at a crossroads. Follow the path furthest to the right, then arrive at a fork.
(10) Turn left. The path descends to a stream. Cross it and, immediately afterwards, ignore a path that branches off to the left and continue along the path that climbs back up to the car park (S/E).
