Park in the car park next to the church in Chaussy.
(S/E) Head towards the church, pass Place du Général De Gaulle and take Grande Rue, then a little further on, turn right onto Route de Bray et Lu. After 300 metres, turn right onto Rue des Molettes and follow it until the end of the tarmac.
(1) Turn onto the wide, stony path on the right. It climbs quite steeply to a crossroads.
(2) Follow the second path on the left, which climbs northwards for a little over 600 metres, passing a first path that crosses it
(3) Turn right onto the path heading south-east and follow it to the D171 road.
(4) Cross the road and walk up the avenue lined with lime trees that leads to the castle entrance. You will have a superb view of the castle. Impressive gates! Return to the road.
(4) Turn right (D171) and continue for about 900 metres.
(5) Turn right onto the road towards the Villarceaux estate, then immediately left onto the path, which will quickly bend to the right. Continue to the next crossroads, where you should take the path (PR® marked in yellow) that branches off to the right at a right angle. It joins a small road that passes in front of the Bergerie.
(6) At the corner of the road, on the right, alongside a house, there is a shaded path which is a continuation of the PR®. Take this path and go down to a new road, turning right. It is surrounded by large stone walls. It will take you to the entrance of the Domaine de Villarceaux: a wide path lined with hornbeams. You can admire the gardens of this magnificent place by turning right.
(7) Return to the road and turn right, then left at the next crossroads, towards Villers-en-Arthie. This takes you along the golf course with its Château du Couvent, another beautiful place to discover.
(8) When the road curves to the left, take thePR® on the right. It will take you back to Chaussy, Rue du Clos de Lisle, and you will find the car park by going down to the right, Rue de La Grande Fontaine. Turn right onto Grande Rue towards the church (S/E).
