The Bois du Roi from Betz

Parking in grassy areas at the start of the hike: Rue du Bois Milon Macquelines Betz 60620.

(S/E) Head towards Rue Bernard Hamelin, cross carefully and continue straight ahead along this paved street lined with houses, passing
the Voie Verte.

(1) Turn right onto a path that runs alongside the Greenway on the right-hand side. At the crossroads, turn right and walk parallel to the Greenway. At the crossroads, turn left; do not walk on the Greenway.

(2) At the crossroads, turn right.

(3) Turn right, then a little further on turn left, joining the Greenway on your right.

(4) Cross the N2 at the pedestrian crossing and take a path to the right of the Greenway. At the junction, turn left

(5) Turn right, ignore the^first path on the right, and at the second, La Sainte Fontaine: enter this religious site with benches, then return to the path and pass a crossroads.

(6) Turn right and head towards Levignen, ignoring the path on the right.

(7) Turn right onto Rue du Dinotier, go to the end and turn right onto Rue de Paris, pass the
the church of Lévignen on your right and the town hall on your left.

(8) At the roundabout, take the^first street on the right, Rue du Valois, then carefully cross the two interchanges at the pedestrian crossings, passing over the N2.

(9) After the second interchange, turn right into the^first street and follow the central reservation on your right, ignoring the path on your left. Pass the N2 water overflow on your left, then first turn left then right, ignoring a path on your left and taking the next left.

(10) Turn left, pass two crossroads, pass a forest house on your left, ignore a crossroad.

(11) Turn right, then further on to the left.

(12) Turn right and then left again further on, ignoring the road on the right.

(13) Turn left.

(14) Turn right, then pass on the right-hand side of a small pond, crossing the Grivette.

(15) Turn left and follow the Voie Verte on your right, then straight ahead on Chemin de Boissy Fresnoy, carefully cross Rue Bernard Hamelin to return to the car park on Rue du Bois Milon (S/E).

The Grivette river flows into the Canal de l'Ourcq.
