Parking is available a little further down in Mittlach, but if there are no spaces, start as indicated at the edge of the forest. There are about ten parking spaces along Chemin du Herrenberg.
(S/E) Take the Croix Bleue path to the right of the arrival point.
(1) Turn right to reach Mittlach after passing Kolbenfecht.
(2) Go up Rue Erbersch on the left and stay on this road, which is mostly tarmac, until you reach Sapin de Kolben (marked with a yellow cross).
(3) Go up a little to the right to find the yellow cross trail on the left, towards Altenweiher. Stay on the yellow cross trail along the path going up the Altenweiherbach on the left bank. Reach Lake Altenwieher.
(4) Enjoy the view and the coolness of the lake, but be careful, as it is sometimes strongly advised not to let animals drink from it. Turn right at the end of the lake, following the blue cross signs: there are rocky sections where you need to watch your step. When you reach the three-way junction, go straight ahead towards Kerbholz. Further on, ignore the blue triangle trail on the right and keep left to quickly reach Kerbholz.
(5) Enjoy the view and continue along the Blue Cross trail. You will reach a forest path.
(6) Follow it in the same direction until the next intersection: there are shortcuts across the terrain, but they are not safe, especially when the ground is wet.
(7) Turn left towards Fischboedle Lake, continuing to follow the Blue Cross.
(8) Enjoy this magical place before taking theGR®5to the right of our direction of arrival (red rectangle markings) to begin the descent on the left bank of the Wormsa. Here too, there are a series of scree slopes, which are not particularly difficult, but you must remain vigilant.
(9) Turn right, keeping to the markings.
(10) Turn right again towards Mittlach and you will come out onto Rue Erbresch.
(11) Continue to the right until you reach a pretty wooden bridge on the left.
(12) Turn left to cross the bridge and walk through a small, pleasant park. Follow the path that leads back to the road (Chemin du Herenberg). Continue to the right to return to the car park (S/E).
