Park in the car park in the centre of the village, opposite the Valneige hotel and restaurant.
(S/E) Cross the road and take Rue Raymond Poincaré, then, after 250 metres, Rue des Jonquilles.
(1) Take the path on your right marked with a yellow disc indicating the direction of Schnepfenried and a red rectangle crossed out in white.
Follow this path, which leads to a small country road for about 500 metres, then take a sharp left turn onto this road.
(2) Take the first path on the right, which quickly turns sharply to the right. Follow the yellow disc markings. You will reach a crossroads at an elevation of 813 metres at Mittlach le Haut.
(3) Keep left and follow the yellow disc markings to the Schnepfenried resort.
(4) Reach the Panoramic restaurant (note: there are no more yellow markings from this point onwards) by following the road that crosses the resort.
(5) To return to Mittlach, retrace your steps to the beginners' ski lift (400m away).
(6) On the left, you will find the return trail marked with a red cross.
(7) At the three-way junction, follow this path marked with a red cross to the junction with the forest path leading to Widenbach.
(8) Turn right, taking a hairpin bend, onto this path and follow the red rectangle with a white stripe signposting towards Mittlach. You will reach the junction of the circular route.
(3) Take the path on the left towards Mittlach. Continue along the route you took on the way there, following the yellow disc markings to the car park (S/E).
