Bric de Rubren via the Mongioia Pass and the Salsa Pass
This is a beautiful circular of just under 30 km, crossing the Ubaye several times and taking hikers to one of the highest peaks in the Ubaye at 3,340 m.
The view from the top is magnificent and stretches far into the distance.
At the foot of the Bric is the high-altitude lake of Mongioia at 3,080 m.
Return to the starting point via the Pas de Salsa and Lac du Loup.
Lac du Crozet - Lac du Loup - Lac de la Grande Sitre
A magnificent hike combining forest and low mountains, flora and fauna.
Tour of the Crozet, Loup and Grande Sitre lakes
Circular of the three lakes of Crozet, Loup and Grande Sitre from Saint-Mury-Monteymond on the north-western balcony of the Grande Lance de Domène in the Belledonne Massif.
Circular Grande Lance de Domène route via the Col des Lances and Lac du Loup
A circuit and ascent to Belledonne’s finest viewpoint, amidst the ibex. Climbing the Grande Lance de Domène is straightforward, but the return via the Col des Lances requires an ice axe and crampons in all seasons, and the very steep scree on the north face invariably turns the hiker into a left-turning dahu.
Between the Col des Lances and Lac du Loup, the Glacier de la Sitre and its lake form one of the wildest landscapes in the range, where you may encounter eagles and chamois.
