Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the Raymond Prot Multi-purpose Hall.

(S/E) Walk past the hall and join Rue Saint-Martin.

(1) Cross the street and take the path towards the Saint-Eustache Chapel and the ponds.

(2) Near the natural campsite, turn left towards the ponds and you’ll come out onto Rue Saint-Eustache. Then turn right towards the chapel and head towards it.

(3) Retrace your steps, then take the path on the left. Head towards the largest pond, walk along its right-hand side, then turn right again to walk alongside the cemetery and reach the D772.

(4) Cross the departmental road carefully to reach the car park at the Stade Jean Denoual. Head to the right to find the path leading to the start of the Greenway. Continue along the edge of the woods, then turn right at a 90° angle to walk alongside Rue du Clos du Bois.

(5) Cross the street, then turn left, staying on the Greenway.

(6) Cross the D257 with care, continue straight ahead and turn right at the junction.

(7) Cross the small road and follow the Voie verte as indicated on the signs. You’ll reach a junction.

(8) Carry on straight ahead to the hamlet of La Gare, where you’ll join the D82.

(9) Take the road on the right for about 50 metres, then cross carefully to rejoin the Voie Verte on the left.

(10) Look out for a possible shortcut on the left (see the ‘Practical Information’ section) and carry on straight ahead. Pass by a mast and arrive at the junction with a small tarmac road.

(11) Head right for about 100 metres, then turn left to rejoin the Voie Verte until you reach the hamlet of Les Épinettes.

(12) Leave the Voie Verte by turning left along the D57. Cross the D772 with care and continue straight ahead for about a hundred metres to reach the four-way junction at Les Croix Brault.

(13) Head left onto the old departmental road and continue to the next junction. Turn right, heading south, then carry on straight ahead, passing several ponds on your left, until you reach Le Fretay.

(14) First turn right then left to join the local road for about 100 metres. Turn left at the junction and carry on straight ahead. About a hundred metres after passing a small pond on your left, you’ll reach another junction.

(15) Turn right and walk for about 400 m. Then take the path on the left and turn left again onto the local track to return to the car park (S/E).
