The Ozon Valley around Chenevelles

Park in the church car park.

(S/E) Walk past the town hall and turn left towards Archigny, along Rue de l'Étoile, until you reach a path on the right.

(1) Follow Chemin de l’Ozon downwards, past a beautiful house. Cross the Ozon bridge and climb this steep hill to the road.

(2) Turn right, then immediately left, onto a stony path leading towards the fields, until you reach the^second junction, which offers a view of the Château de la Londière if you turn round.

(3) Turn left and stay on this path until you reach a three-way junction. Continue straight ahead to the road, near La Buchellerie.

(4) Turn left onto the road, then immediately right, and head down into the woods to reach the Ozon. Cross the river and continue to the D17.

(5) Cross the road and head up the path almost directly opposite. Walk uphill for 150 m, then, at the T-junction, follow the path to the right for 100 m. Walk back down alongside the woods towards the valley, crossing the Ozon again, to reach the road.

(6) Cross the small road and take the path towards Jaudoux.

(7) Walk past the Château de la Gabillère and continue along the tarmac road. Ignore a road on the right, pass the hamlet of La Tournepachère, and reach a three-way junction.

(8) Turn right and continue along this path to the road (elevation 140). Turn right, then left before the cross, towards Les Ajoncs, and follow this path to the small road (elevation 140).

(9) Turn left, pass the hamlet of Bois de Chet, and turn right towards La Font, without going there. Cross a path on the left.

(10) Turn onto this picturesque path, which includes a ford. Pass La Bretellerie, and arrive at a path branching off to the right towards Les Plaudières.

(11) Turn onto this stony path which follows a wide bend to the right, then a sharp bend to the left, before reaching a crossroads.

(12) At the crossroads, turn left, following a hedge on your right. At the road, turn right until you reach the cross.

(13) At the cross, turn left, then immediately right onto an open path. After 400 m, at the corner of the buildings, take the path on the right leading to Chenevelles. Walk past the houses, go past the mini-market, and return to the church car park. (S/E)
