Large car park available. If full, you can use the car park on the access road. The site attracts many people for picnics and relaxation.
(S/E) Cross the Alzon and follow the road.
(1) Leave the river and follow the path on the left alongside the Roman ruins and continue to a gate where the yellow markings stop due to private property: passage is permitted.
(2) Continue along the path beside the river until you reach another gate with a door that leads back to public land.
(3) Continue to the right, passing in front of Château Bérard.
(4) At the crossroads, leave the wide path on the left and take the next one, a steep, stony path that climbs up to a flat rock slab. Continue up the carriage road, where the slope becomes gentler, and you will come to a path on the left.
(5) Turn left onto this pretty little path lined with stone walls, which leads to a gate. A trail starts to the right of the gate and climbs up through the heath to join a wider path.
(6) Continue in the same direction. At the top, turn right onto the path and then quickly left to reach a four-way crossroads.
(7) Turn right. After about 100 metres, turn left onto a path that leads to another crossroads. Turn left and then left again towards a beautiful viewpoint with three picnic tables.
(8) From the wooden building, admire the view of Uzès. Descend via the wide main path, which also has picnic tables.
(9) At the crossroads, turn left: to complete the descent, it is essential to choose this route as the other paths are dangerous. Then, on the right, you will find a very stony path that leads back to the starting point. Cross the meadow, follow the river, cross it via the bridge of your choice to return to the car park (S/E).
