Head to Gare des Ramières, home to the nature reserve centre, located on the D125 between Allex and Grane. Park in the car park between the station and the railway line (there is another car park 150 metres before the station).
(S/E) With your back to the car park, head towards the road and turn left onto the hard shoulder (nature reserve access). Cross the railway line and continue to the bridge to find the Gare des Ramières - Pont d'Allex signpost. Go down to the left to find the first information boards on the trail (the children of the Allex public school illustrated and commented on the environment). Follow the trail that runs along the right bank of the Drôme and the railway line, with a few explanatory boards about the environment placed at regular intervals. Pass the pumping station (bench).
(1) When you reach the Entonnement des digues signpost, continue straight ahead on the same path towards Les Rouets. About 700 metres further on, the path veers to the left and arrives at a viewpoint. Continue along the path to quickly reach the Passage sous tunnel signpost.
(2) Continue straight ahead despite a yellow cross (ignore the path on the left that goes under the tunnel). The path will move away from the railway line and wind through an open area (the route is offset on the map because the right-hand path is no longer accessible). Rejoin the forest and come to a T-junction (the right-hand path does not appear on the map).
(3) Turn left onto the path that curves to the right, runs alongside a water catchment and arrives at a junction marked Puits de l'Eurre. Turn right onto the wide path towards Lac des Oiseaux for about 150 metres to reach a trailhead on the right.
(4) Leave the path and follow the trail on the right that enters the forest in a wilder area (yellow cross). After about 200 metres, the trail opens onto a large clearing. Look for a faint trail that branches off to the left into the forest. A tree trunk appears to block the way, but this is not the case. Leave the path on the right that leads into the clearing and follow the path on the left. You will arrive at another clearing and then at a crossroads.
(5) Follow the path opposite into the forest (ignore the paths to the right and left). Join a wider path and follow it to the left to find a small sign stamped with a blue beaver 10 metres further on. Continue on the path on the right, which curves around (ignore the beaver path on the left, which is not marked on the map), and you will soon arrive at another crossroads at the Seuil du Pipe-Line Aval signpost.
(6) Turn left towards Lac Communal d'Eurre for about 400 metres until you reach the next crossroads.
(7) Turn left, go through the wooden gate and continue straight ahead to walk along the left side of Lac d'Eurre. At the end of the lake, in front of the entrance to a tunnel, turn right to follow the path that goes around the lake. Pass an information panel about the marsh and then reach a crossroads.
(8) Continue around the lake, staying on the path on the right (ignore the paths on the left) and return to the path at the start of the circular lake. Turn left onto the path, go through the gate again and return to the junction at the Lac communal d'Eurre signpost.
(7) Turn right and follow the path back to the car park (S/E).

A peaceful, pleasant walk along the banks of the Drome. Be sure to visit the bird observatory on the route. Lake Eurre is very pleasant and has a picnic table. Walk around the lake and then return by the same route.
