Starting point in the centre of La Bastide. You can park in one of the car parks around the church.
The route begins on theGR® 7, which at this point is a wide, grey gravel path, but from La Mourade onwards, the trails are much more bucolic and varied.
GR7.GR®70. Stevenson Trail. White and red markings
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the railway tracks and turn right towards the station.
(1) Cross the station car park. Continue and cross the railway line at the level crossing. Continue on theGR® 7, on a wide, well-trodden path, with a continuous and steady slope, to La Mourade.
(2) Continue on theGR® trails to the left towards La Mourade.

(3) At the exit of La Mourade, there is a grassy, shaded area with two old benches, an ideal place for a break. Leave theGR® and continue to the left.
(4) Arrive at a viewpoint at the foot of the relay antenna and continue along the path towards Masméjan.
(5) Turn left towards Masméjean and arrive at the D6.
(6) Cross the bridge over the Riou.
(7) After crossing the bridge, take the path on the left.
(8) Cross the small stone bridge over the Allier.
(9) Pass under the railway bridge. Ford the stream and follow it for a few dozen metres. Follow the Ravin de Réteuil and join a road at the Croix de Grabio.
Caution: this route is marked but may be best avoided during rainy periods.
(10) Cross this road and take the path opposite.
GR72 -GR®700. White and red markings
(11) Turn left onto theGR® towards Le Thort.
(12) On leaving Le Thort, cross the D906 with caution and take care to follow the path to the right of the road along the marked path. Continue to an intersection.
(13) Turn left towards La Bastide.
(14) Take the path on the left that crosses through a wood and rejoins the D906.
(15) Cross the road carefully and take an old road on the right (marked with a no entry sign). Continue along this road until you reach the car park (S/E).
