Park in the designated spaces on Rue des Bois Chevaux, near the wash house.
(S/E) Head towards the wash house, pass it and then turn right to reach the foot of the vineyard at a place called Les Bois Chevaux, following the G2 direction. Once at the four-way intersection, continue straight ahead for about thirty metres.
(1) At a place called Veau, turn left and continue straight ahead towards Varanges. Climb the steep, stony path
stony path up to the Varanges clearing: beautiful view of Givry and the forest.
(2) Leave the statue of the Virgin Mary on your left and go straight up a wide path through the
pine trees. Pass the place called Chaume de Givry, continue straight ahead and, after the chain blocking vehicle access, you will reach a fork.
(3) Take the left-hand path through the woods to the top of the hill: beautiful panoramic view on the right over Mercurey and Aluze. You will reach the Bouloises crossroads.
(4) Turn left towards Russilly. Go through the gate and close it behind you. You will come out onto the limestone grassland where the path follows theGR®7trail. Be careful to stay in the middle of the field and look for the markings painted on the ground.
Cross the stubble field heading due south, continuing straight ahead; join the downhill path and continue to Chaume de Russilly.
(5) Go through and close the gate, pass in front of a goat farm, turn left and then left again at the fountain. Pass in front of the old wine press and go up the path on the left, which passes further on at the foot of the Sacré Cœur statue and then joins the forest. At the bottom of the path, turn right, go through the chain blocking the access and you will find yourself at a place called Chenêvres.
(6) Go down the wide stony path on the left to the crossroads at Clos Salomon.
(7) Turn left and walk to the bottom of the hill at Grands Prétans. Turn left, admire the small vineyard houses and follow the signs to the starting point on the right (S/E).
