Start from the car park in the centre of the village of Bonbois, beside the D91, under the large plane tree.
(S/E) Walk up the small street where you’ll find a picnic table, until you reach a fountain. Turn left onto the uphill street, then take the path on the right which runs alongside the Leat de Pisse-Vache and continue to a fork in the path. A quirky house has created a lovely garden on its grounds.
(1) Continue to the right along the path towards the waterfall until you reach it.
(2) Take a moment to relax at the Pisse-Vache Waterfall, which overlooks the leat of the same name. Continue along the path that climbs up after the waterfall. At the start, this is quite steep. The ‘challenges’ begin quite quickly with a rocky outcrop, which can be tricky for young children or a dog to navigate. Things get easier after that.
(3) On your right, you’ll come to a path leading down from the Fontaine Génétan. Turn left to reach the junction you passed on the way there.
(1) Carry on straight ahead and follow the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey to return to the centre of the village of Bonbois (S/E).
