This hike starts from the RD65 road linking Sartène to Foce, at a place called Chialza. You can park about 200 metres after the small house in Chialza, in the small dirt car park at the sanctuary (sign at the entrance), on the left-hand side of the road coming from Sartène.
Please note: the use of a GPS is strongly recommended to avoid getting lost in the scrubland and to follow the correct path through the meadow.
(S/E) To start the walk, head back towards Sartène on the RD65 (watch out for cars) for about 150 metres. Before the right-hand bend, leave the RD65 on the left to take the path through a gap between the rocks. Then continue through the undergrowth to some low scrub.
Take the track that crosses low scrub to a large open area. Follow the track downhill to the right to a hedge of brambles.
(1) Cross the hedge through the existing opening and continue along the clearly visible track that heads south through the undergrowth.
(2) At the ruined house, go through the opening in the boundary wall to continue opposite, leaving the ruin on your right.
(3) From this point, the slope becomes steep to reach the summit, with some sections requiring the use of your hands.
(4) To reach the top of the rocky outcrop, go through the gate to the ruins and take the path going up just opposite the opening. The final part of the climb is very steep.
Please note: the summit area is only accessible with caution and for experienced walkers, given the environment and the configuration of the rocky summit. For those who may be prone to vertigo, the summit has a vertiginous cliff face below.
The return to the starting point is via exactly the same route in reverse to reach the RD65 (S/E).
