I set off on this hike despite the lack of reviews, and the route turned out to be very reliable. The difficulty rating is entirely justified. I did it in the Xorroxin → Autza direction.

From Erratzu to the waterfall, there were no problems to report. After reaching the road and taking the concrete track that runs between the houses, you come to a ford that is quite difficult to cross due to very slippery stones.

This is followed by a very steep and, above all, very long climb. The route then skirts a hill before tackling the ascent of Autza: the start is fairly manageable, but the end is particularly demanding.

The view from the summit is magnificent and more than makes up for the effort. The descent, however, is very long and tiring.

In short, a demanding but absolutely superb hike.
