Description of the walk

The starting point is on the Castineta D639 road (a beautiful village worth visiting), north-east of the village, at the intersection with a track.

(S/E) Follow the track heading north, which starts parallel to the road. Descend to the hamlet of Taponzoli.

(1) At the entrance to the hamlet of Taponzoli, close the gate and the next one behind you. Keep to the right and follow the path down into the valley.

(2) At an old mill and the bridge over the Conca stream (sign for Ponte a Conca), take the path on the right after the bridge. The trail climbs up the other side of the valley to Querceto, then Convento (village of Morosaglia).

(3) At the hamlet of Convento, turn left onto the path along the last house, descending towards Sevasi. It joins a road which you follow straight ahead to Sevasi.

(4) Continue to the end of the road, then follow the path as it continues. Reach the bridge over the Conca stream.

(2) After the bridge, which you crossed in the opposite direction on the way there, take a path on the right towards the stream

(5) At a fork in the road, take the right-hand path downhill (cairn). You will return to the hamlet of Taponzoli.

(1) Retrace your steps to rejoin the Castineta D639 road (S/E).

Worth a visit

This hike takes you through the hamlets of Morosaglia along old paths.
It is not difficult, apart from a few steep sections.
It starts on the road to Castineta (which we recommend visiting) [see photo]: signpost "Taponzuli"
The track descends to the hamlet of Taponzuli.
You then need to pass between the houses, going through two gates in succession [see photos].
Follow the path after the hamlet to reach an old mill and the bridge: Ponte A Conca [see photo].
Cross the bridge and take the path on the right along the stream.
After about 100 m, the path turns left, climbing up a sort of staircase [see photo].
This path leads to the hamlet of Querceto [see photo], which you must cross (gate) and take a good track on the left that leads to the outskirts of Morosaglia.
After the rubbish bins, take a path on the left [see photo] along the first houses (Sevasi sign).
This path, which is more or less a staircase, descends to the hamlet of Sevasi.
After crossing Sevasi, the path to the left leads back to the Ponte A Conca bridge.
After crossing it in the opposite direction to return, it is worth taking a shaded path on the right [see photo], which follows the stream.
At a large tree trunk [see photo], take a path on the right.
The path gradually leads back to the track you started on and then to the road.
