Park in the Grand Port area near Camping Le Sierroz.
(S/E) Head towards the bridge and turn right to follow the course of the Sierroz along the right bank (with the current).
(1) At the first bridge, head up onto the boulevard then cross it to reach the left bank. Pass under the railway bridge, ducking your head; further on, cross the Pont Rouge, continue following the river upstream and pass the first footbridge to reach a second one with contemporary architecture.
(2) Take the footbridge, then turn left. This is where the climb begins; a staircase with old concrete steps helps you on your way. You’ll reach a narrow, steep road.
(3) Head up this road to the right, join a larger road and follow it to the right until you reach a footpath 100 m further on.
(4) Leave the road and head up the path on the left. This is a north-north-east-facing path known as the Chemins des Pinsons. Further up, it joins the Chemin du Loup. After a wide circular loop, you’ll reach a crossroads of paths.
(5) Ignore the Chemin des Fauvettes towards the viewpoint and take the path on the right. You will reach the Route Forestière de Corsuet.
Turn right onto this road and, shortly afterwards, leave it to take the Chemin des Écureuils on the right.
(6) After a final climb, reach the Croix de Corsuet.
(7) Return to the road, and within a few strides you’ll reach a circular bend in the road with benches.
(6) Start the return journey here by following the road for 200 m. Take the path that cuts across the bends in the road for a pleasant descent. The path eventually joins the Chemin des Merles.
(8) Head down to the right along the Chemin des Merles, join the road (Chemin de Beauregard) and follow it downhill to the junction with the Route de Corsuet.
(9) Follow this road to the left and, 200 m further on, turn right to reach the junction from the outward journey.
(3) Head downhill to the right along a path that joins a small road; follow this to the left. Further on, rejoin Route de Corsuet, then cross the roundabout near Pont Rouge.
(10) Follow the course of the Sierroz on its right bank, go under the railway line and reach Boulevard Garibaldi.
(1) Cross the boulevard and stay on the opposite side, on the path which is also a cycle path, to quickly reach the car park (S/E)
