Start : This walk started outside the Beefeater Granary, in Ferry Meadows (PE2 5UU). This walk goes anticlockwise around lake. Grid ref. TL 154 967
(S/E) From Beefeater return to the Oundle road (A605) and turn left (East-South-East) along the road.
(1) After 400 m or so, take the first turn on the left (North). Continue walking on the lane for around 430 m.
(2) Turning right (East) just before the railway line on Water Lane. Continue down the tree path for around 930 m to a junction.
(3) At the end, turn left (North) and over the railway line and then River Nene ( using Milton Bridge). After crossing River Nene turn left (West) and follow the river bank for over a mile. On the way, after 1.4 Km, turn right by Bluebell bridge (do not cross the bridge).
(4) Walk 20 m to turn left (North-West). Carry on walking on the same bearings with the river on your left-hand side for around 1.5 Km.
(5) Eventually coming to Gunwade bridge turn left (South) to cross it then down to the side of Gunwade lake, follow the lake in an anticlockwise direction (West-South-West) on Gunwade Trail, until you find the railway line on your right-hand side.
(6) Re-cross the railway and turn left (East) and follow the railway for around 760 m to reach Ham Lane.
(7) Turn right (South-East) onto Ham lane to return to the Beefeater. (S/E)
