Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve

Start: The car park of the Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve is reached by using post code PE6 8RJ. This should take you to the bend on the B1166; at the apex of the bend is a gravel road with speed bumps, follow until the car park on the right side. Grid ref. TF 184 079

(S/E) Leave the car park to the gravel road. Turn right (South-West) and after about 120 metres go through a gate on the left and up to the bank of river Welland.

(1) When up to the river Welland bank, turn right and follow river upstream the path takes gentle right bend. Come to the railway line, descend down to the left under railway and up again to continue and reach Station Road. (This is about 1.6 kilometres).

(2) Turn right onto Station road and continue North-East along the road for about 1.5 kilometres.

(3) Turn right to continue along Station road now (B1166), over the railway crossing, for about 1.2 kilometres.

(4) As the road takes a sharp left, turn right onto a gravel road into Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve, and continue to car park. (S/E)

Facilities: There are no facilities at this location but several options in nearby Crowland Deeping St. James and Marker Deeping.
