Europaweg-Hütte - Théodule refuge

(S) From Europaweg-Hütte, take the same trail as the day before to the abandoned hamlet of Stafelti.

(1) Turn right (signposted) onto the path to Tasch, which takes 1 hour 40 minutes. Enjoy a pleasant descent through a lovely forest to the hamlet of Eggenstadel.

(2) Continue along this trail until you reach the church square in Täsch. Take the street on the right, then the first left to reach Täsch station.

(3) Take the train to Zermatt. From Zermatt station, go to the Furi cable car station.

(4) Direct cable car connection to the upper station at Trockener Steg.

(5) Start the climb on the correct path on the moraine, keep your distance from the Gandegg Hütte and set foot on the glacier at around 3108 metres.

(6) Continue the very easy but cautious climb up the glacier (crampons are not necessary but it is advisable to rope up). Pass close to the lower station of the ski lifts serving the Passo di Ventina Nord. Turn left and climb steeply to reach the Italian refuge of Teodulo (E).
