(S) Leave Europahutte heading north, either slightly downhill or uphill.
(1) Go around the numerous ridges and thalwegs and, after a long walk through the scree (be careful where you place your feet), reach the small summit of Grathorn.
(2) Then cross the forest where the long descent to Gasenreid, the end of the hike, begins.
(3) There, take the post bus to Saint Nicklaus (E), the day's destination.

Water sources are found in streams, and it is advisable to purify the water.
As specified in the description, the walking stage ends at Gasenreid, from where the post bus takes you to Saint Nicklaus. There is a walking route between these two villages, but it is only of secondary interest. To enable us to complete this tour in 10 days, we have chosen this option, which we will repeat during the following stages.
