La Vigotte - La Beuille loop
In its first section, this route alternates between forest trails and meadow paths, all dotted with pretty ponds.The second part, which is more ‘open’, offers magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding hills.The return to the hostel invites you to enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation overlooking the fishing ponds.

A pleasant route combining woodland, numerous ponds, lovely views and heritage sites.There are three possible starting points for the same route.Around the ponds, there are numerous paths and tracks; follow the route description and map carefully.
Étang du Villerain - La Vigotte
This walk is suitable for the whole family; we did it with our children aged 6 and 12, who walk regularly. Throughout the route, you’ll come across a number of ponds near Girmont-Val-d’Ajol.About two-thirds of the way along, you’ll be treated to a lovely view of the Moselle valley.Enjoy your walk. Please note that the ponds are on private property; please respect these areas.

An easy day’s ride with the option of a picnic stop at Géhard Waterfall, where a picnic area has been set up.
Les Faignes Noires
This short hike allows you to discover three ponds and the beautiful Vosges forest, not far from Val d'Ajol, in just a few kilometres. A very varied walk, even if it is short.
In the Hérival State Forest
A pleasant, well-shaded walk through the Hérival State Forest, starting from the charming village of Girmont-Val-d’Ajol. Pretty ponds dot the route, along with several natural sites: the Eau Bénitier, the Roche Fendue, the Glacière and the Géhard Waterfall, as well as a number of places that recall the area’s historical past: the ruins of the Vieilles Abbayes, the Chalet de l’Empereur and, of course, the Priory of Hérival.

Remiremont - Méloménil
The path leaves the Moselle valley and heads towards the Canal des Vosges. This mainly wooded walk is enhanced by traditional Lorraine farmhouses.
From Vagney to La Bresse via Sapois, Rochesson and Gérardmer
An 8-hour walk in the mid-mountain range, starting from Vagney (Cremanvillers), passing through Sapois, Rochesson, Gérardmer (Les Bas-Rupts) and the Col de Grosse Pierre, finishing at La Bresse.
Ballon de Servance
Hike to Ballon de Servance.Please note that for this hike, you will need two vehicles, one at (S) at the Col des Croix andthe other at the Sources de Presles reservoir (E). The path leading directly up to the Ballon is a quiet zone and is closed from 15 December to 14 July. See notices
Southern route of the Epinal fortress
4th stage of the tour of the Épinal stronghold via the Forts, taking you from Arches via the Réduit du Bois d’Arches, the Bois d’Arches intermediate depot, Fort du Bambois, the Étang du Bult intermediate depot, Fort des Friches and finishing at Fort du RoulonThis is a linear walk, so please leave a car at the Morevoid pond after Roulon on the road to Uzemain. Make your way to the starting point in Arches via Nayemont, Uriménil, Dounoux and Hadol.
