The walk starts from the car park near the church in Dampierre-et-Fley.
(S/E) Head towards Fley on the D27H until you reach the canal.
(1) Cross the bridge and immediately turn left onto the towpath, which you will follow to Licey-sur-Vingeanne. Arrive at the D27b bridge.
(2) Take this road to reach Licey, cross the Vingeanne bridge and turn right immediately to go up Rue du Prieuré and pass the small castle.
(3) Follow Chemin de la Fontaine on your right. When you reach the fork, turn right onto the path that runs alongside the castle wall. After 500 metres, you will arrive at the lock. Cross the canal again and take the towpath on your left for about 1 kilometre.
(4) Just before the iron bridge, turn right then left towards Fontaine-Française. Cross this bridge and follow the Torcelle, which you will cross further on via a stone bridge. After 100 metres, you will reach a crossroads.
(5) Take the grassy path opposite. Pass under the power line, continue along this path and you will arrive at a crossroads of dirt tracks.
(6) Turn left towards Fontenelle, leave a path on your left and cross the Torcelle again (there is a picnic area just before the bridge). Pass under the power line again, enter Fontenelle and at the fork, turn right onto Rue Basse until you reach the church.
(7) Then turn left onto Rue de la Saule, turn right, pass in front of the farm and take the dirt track opposite you, which will lead you to the woods. Enter the Grand Bois and walk for about 500 metres, ignoring the four paths on either side.
(8) Turn right and the path will lead you to a white path on your left. Follow it along the woods until you reach the old Roman road.
(9) Turn left towards Dampierre-et-Fley. The Roman road becomes tarmac at the end. Turn left and you will come to a crossroads.
(10) Leave this road on your left and take a white path towards Dampierre for about 500 metres.
(11) Turn right onto the path that crosses the woods. At the exit, take the white path in front of you to reach a farm at the entrance to Dampierre-et-Fley. Pass in front of the sheds and go down to the road.
(12) Turn left onto Rue des Durandines to reach the car park (S/E).
